The Science

What's on the label has to reach your cells.

Most supplements fail before they ever get a chance to work. Poor absorption, sub-clinical doses, untested potency. We built Alpha Health to fix all three.

99.4% Average potency match to label claim across our last 120 lots
~14% Typical absorption rate of standard oral Vitamin C tablets
93% Average absorption of our liposomal-encapsulated formulas
The Problem

Eighty-five percent of what's on the label never reaches your bloodstream.

The supplement industry is built on a hidden failure: poor absorption. Active compounds break down in the gut, get filtered by first-pass metabolism, or are simply dosed too low to matter.

The result? Customers take supplements for months without effect, conclude "supplements don't work," and stop. The compound was never the problem — the delivery system was.

Our Approach

Three non-negotiables. Every formula. Every batch.

01

Liposomal delivery

We encapsulate active compounds in phospholipid bilayers — the same membrane structure your own cells use. This shields compounds from digestion and delivers them intact, intracellularly.

  • Sunflower-derived phosphatidylcholine
  • Sub-200nm particle size verified
  • Mimics natural cell membrane transport
02

Clinical dosing

We dose at the levels used in the published research — not the levels that minimize manufacturing cost. Every active is matched to its peer-reviewed effective dose.

  • Cited dosages on every label
  • Bioactive forms (methylated, chelated)
  • No proprietary blends or hidden fillers
03

Independent verification

Every lot is tested by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited third-party laboratory. Identity, potency, heavy metals, microbials, residual solvents. We publish results.

  • ISO/IEC 17025-accredited testing
  • COA available for every batch
  • Lot codes traceable to source
Bioavailability

Absorption rates, measured.

Comparing peak serum concentration (Cmax) across delivery formats. Higher is better — every percentage point means more compound reaching your cells.

Manufacturing

cGMP-certified. U.S.-manufactured. No exceptions.

Every Alpha Health product is produced in an FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facility in the United States. Our quality team audits each production run against pharmaceutical-grade protocols.

  • FDA-registered manufacturing facility
  • cGMP-certified (21 CFR Part 111 compliant)
  • Raw materials sourced & traceable
  • Quality team audits every production lot
  • No magnesium stearate, silica, or titanium dioxide

Testing Protocol

Four checkpoints. Before a bottle ships.

  1. 01

    Raw material identity

Every incoming raw material is tested by FTIR or HPLC to confirm botanical or chemical identity before it enters production.

  2. 02

    In-process potency

Mid-production assays verify the active compound concentration matches the target dose, with corrective action thresholds at ±5%.

  3. 03

    Contaminant screen

Each lot is screened for heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury), microbial contaminants, and residual solvents to USP standards.

  4. 04

    Independent verification

A sample of every finished lot is sent to an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited third-party lab. Only lots that pass receive a release certificate.

The Research

Built on peer-reviewed science.

Liposomal Vitamin C

"Liposomal-encapsulated ascorbic acid exhibits superior bioavailability vs. unencapsulated forms"

Davis JL et al. · Nutrition & Metabolic Insights, 2016

Demonstrated peak plasma vitamin C concentrations more than double that of standard oral supplementation, with sustained intracellular delivery.

Magnesium L-Threonate

"Enhancement of learning and memory by elevating brain magnesium"

Slutsky I et al. · Neuron, 2010

Magnesium L-Threonate uniquely crosses the blood-brain barrier, increasing synaptic density and supporting cognitive function.

Phosphatidylcholine carriers

"Phospholipid encapsulation in nutrient delivery: a clinical review"

European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 2018

Reviews show phospholipid carriers consistently outperform conventional formats for fat- and water-soluble compounds alike.

Questions

What people ask us.

Have a deeper question? Email our scientific team — every message is read.

What does "liposomal" actually mean?

A liposome is a microscopic spherical structure made of phospholipid bilayers — the same molecules that form your cell membranes. We encapsulate active compounds inside this structure, which shields them from digestion and delivers them intact to cells.

Where can I see the COA for my bottle?

Every Alpha Health bottle has a lot code printed on the label. Enter it at alphahealth.com/coa to view the third-party test results for your specific batch. We don't aggregate or estimate — the COA is for your lot specifically.

Why don't you use proprietary blends?

Proprietary blends hide individual dosages, so customers can't compare to published research. We list every active and its dosage explicitly. If a compound is dosed below its researched effective amount, it doesn't belong in the formula.

How is bioavailability measured?

The standard metric is peak plasma concentration (Cmax) — how much of the active compound is detectable in your bloodstream after ingestion. Bioavailability percentages compare Cmax to the dose administered, with intravenous delivery as the 100% reference.

Are your products FDA approved?

Dietary supplements aren't FDA-approved as a category — that designation only applies to drugs. Our manufacturing facility, however, is FDA-registered and cGMP-certified, meaning it meets the same production standards as pharmaceutical-grade facilities.
